Quantic Dream have unveiled Kara, a stunning tech demo and short film about an android that is built in a factory and becomes self aware.

Quantic CEO David Cage said at GDC 2012 that it demonstrates Quantic Studio’s ability to realize full performance capture. In other words, to motion capture in one single take, using the body and facial movements of actors and to record their voices, with a very high degree of precision. Kara runs on an early version of their new proprietary PS3 engine.

These technologies are currently being used in the development of their upcoming project – an exclusive title for Playstation 3 – which is yet to be announced.
